Magazine Clippings that were on my wall when I was a teenager

The internet existed, but it wasn't for fashion or celebrities yet. Mainly 'chat rooms' lol.

Fashion Magazines were where you were able to see style.

These images are BURNED into my brain after having been taped to my bedroom wall for years in my youth. When I find them again I get so excited and recall their details intimately. They're a time machine for me. Here are some that I have found online.

W Magazine October 2000

(Stephanie Seymour on the cover)

model: Guinevere van Seenus photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, later known as Inez and Vinoodh, the Dutch-American fashion photographer duo. They later photographed the promotional images for Lady Gaga's ARTPOP album, and directed her Applause music video in 2013.

The one on the Right above and Left below were pulled out & taped to my wall in highschool.

I must have stared at them a thousand times. The model is 24 y/o & I was 15.

GUCCI S/S 2001 campaign
A year later Inez & Vinoodh shot Kate Moss for this one, the images from which I remember surprisingly well. I think for female sex symbols to have short hair was a big deal at the time:

Giving credit where it is desired, these were found at: www.scannedfashionworld.com

Versace menswear campaign, 1998

Featuring Courtney Love, shot by Bruce Weber

Kudos to everyone for allowing this to happen. I am so grateful to have Courtney Love and Kat Bjelland as role models when I was 12!

This shot is like the white-woman-in-her-thirties version of Lil Kim's 1996 squatting photo.

(Courtney was 34 years old here)

Yes, it was on my wall along with most of the others from this shoot.

Versace Women's S/S 1998 campaign

Courtney Love again, shot by Richard Avedon.

This one is harder to find. I had these on the wall + one in a stretchy, short lilac dress.
I cannot for the life of me find that shot online in a good format.

Miu Miu S/S 1995 campaign

Featuring Drew Barrymore, shot by Ellen Von Unwerth

Drew & Courtney were a public duo at this point, holding hands at events together.

Drew was 20 years old here.

Drew also did a F/W 1995 Miu Miu campaign with the same photographer which I thought was a wasted opportunity, but I did still have a photo from it on the wall, just because of Drew:

Can you Imagine selecting This image from a photo shoot with Drew? yawn

Two years prior Drew had done a 1993 GUESS ad campaign which was also on my wall.

Photographed by Wayne Maser

I am only including what was up on the wall!

This is a personalized nostalgic pursuit!

L'Oreal makeup campaigns 1998

When Canada first really found out about Milla Jovovich! Rouge Pulpe lipstick!

I remember the corresponding TV commercials for it!

And the below campaign really made an impression as well. She was 23 at the time.

And, of course, Calvin Klein campaigns

CK One perfume 2 page ad
Shot by Steven Meisel in 1994

Who could forget Christy Turlington!!

Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)

and Deanna Troi (1987-1994)

It was in Sept 2005 that Moss was photographed using cocaine, and
lost contracts w/ H&M, Chanel and Burberry.

Dior 2001 greasy, lesbianic campaign by Nick Knight
is hard to forget !

Models: Gisele Bundchen and Rhea Durham (Mark Wahlberg's wife)

I used to have this (above) on my wall

Missoni 2002 campaign by Mert & Marcus
Model: Gisele Bundchen

She was the biggest supermodel in the world at that time.
All these campaigns made an impact for me. This one she was insanely tanned w/
a strong 60s influence - light mouth and clumpy lashes.

Lanvin S/S 2011 campaign by Steven Meisel
Models: Iselin Steiro and Kinga Rajzak
70′s chic

Louis Vuitton fall 2013, featuring Michelle Williams
