Re-visiting Matthew Williams' Givenchy (2020-23)

 I previously included some images from this collection in a 2022 post entitled "Fashion Goth"


Matthew Williams, b. 1985, is an American fashion designer known for starting out as a costume designer for Kanye West from 2007, and for being the artistic director of the "Haus of Gaga" from 2008 to 2010. He worked with Lady Gaga her on her first world tour, and on the music video for Alejandro.


He launched his brand ALYX in 2015, and was Creative Director of Givenchy collections for women and men from June 2020 to 2023. He launched a new brand Matthew M Williams summer 2025. He has no formal fashion training.

New creative director Glenn Martens made his debut.

John Galliano left in December 2024, after a 10-year tenure as creative director.




Glenn Martens (b. 1983) is a Belgian fashion designer. 

Martens began his career at Jean Paul Gaultier (2008–2012) and worked at Y/Project (2013–2024) as creative director. He became creative director of Diesel in 2020.
