Jeez I've been gone SO long---sorry bout that
Summer is fun & busy & horribly sad, you know?
It's distracting.
Here we go:
MIU MIU F/W 2016
"Lace & Crystally Denim"
Lacey lapels on 70's-style denim Shirt-Jackets
Silvery beaded detailing on denim
Their shaggy-pearl Slides weren't bad either:
Can't you just see them in a stylized trailer park? Or True Romance?
Moving on..
MARNI S/S 2016
"Apron Dresses"
They have a weight to them, so just fall from the neck, w/ a cutout in the front
Easy to make yourself.
You can wear a tank top underneath so no need for a bra.
Marni - Halter Shell in Nylon/Cotton. Pretty cool.
Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood S/S 2016
"Blazers for Punk"
Love the paper-bag waistband, crinkled sandy linen, & floppy hairpieces.
Much like the embellished Marc Jacobs bags, a heavily-buttoned & patched Blazer
ATELIER VERSACE F/W 2016 Couture
"80s Disco Doll"
A lot of this show was odd colour combos & ill-fitting ideas
--But the sparkly-teal-fringe dress above stuck w/ me
..& I can see it being fun to own these two as well. Very much doll clothes.
MAISON MARGIELA F/W 2016
"Lipliner lip & Usual Oddball"
Didn't love a whole lot --& Not because it was 'too weird' which is what
they often go for here (not complaining, just not wearing haha)
Liked the plastiky-cool Miu Miu-esque bodice/apron/blouses:
Miu Miu - spring 2016
--& this skirt (Margiela)
& this lipliner lip
JEAN PAUL GAULTIER F/W 2016 Couture
"Forest Queens & Rural Businesswoman"
These colours are incredible.
Gaultier's a Master --nothing's changed. He's an endless pool of creativity.
(Melissa - this skirt's your next investment hahaha)
This here's a Dread Beehive people !!
