Fresh Christmas Fashion

I feel this is the time for starting a new kind of Christmas in terms of what we wear to family dinners & New Year's Eve. It seems almost obvious to revert to the same old metallics & sequins. I'm thinking of taking the season's palette (reds, white, greens, even gold) but let print & texture replace shine, rather than doing shiny & sparkly all over again (In my opinion people should be wearing those things for evening/special occasions year round so we don't have to load up in December).

This makes a gaudy metallic number seem trashy. Snowy white, textured, long sleeved dress w/ blue-gray accessories from Chanel pre-fall 2012.
